漣 (さざなみ) "Ripples"
The personification of the Japanese destroyer Sazanami in Kantai Collection.

Appearance
The 7th Destroyer Division (Sazanami, Akebono, Ushio and Oboro) all wear a variant of the Fubuki-class standard serafuku as well as dark green versions of the Fubuki-class ship parts and rigging.
Sazanami herself has pink eyes and short pink hair in twintails held with hair bobbles. On her right kidney is a round badge with a strawberry-like pattern. When heavily damaged, she is revealed to be wearing strawberry print panties. She has a tiny pink rabbit companion.
She received a new CG in Drew's new style for her first remodel, which also features some modifications to her gear and uniform. See the page for more details.
Alternate outfits
Her Christmas portrait gives her an actual Christmas maid outfit complete with cake. For Christmas 2015, her portrait from last year has been updated with a larger cake, a ribbon on the hem of her dress as well as the presence of Oboro's pet crab, holding a cupcake.
She, along with her Divisionmates, has early summer seasonal CG. She wears a light blue two-piece swimsuit with the bottom under her usual skirt. Her usual pin has also moved to her skirt. She carries her serafuku top on one hand, a bag on another arm, her pet rabbit on her shoulder and she wears a lilac wrist scrunchie. This portait reveals she has next to no breasts.
For her Rainy Season CG, she also celebrates her launch day as it was released on the June 6th 2017 update. (She was launched June 6th 1931, 86 years ago.) She wears what appears to be a strawberry print dress with a wide, sailor-like, frilled collar and puffy short sleeves. She also wears what appears to be a clock necklace, pink mary janes and some bangles on her right wrist. She holds a small pink birthday cake on a plate with her right hand, an umbrella with her left arm (it's still rainy season, after all) and her pet rabbit, wearing an appropriately sized crown, is clinging to her arm holding a carrot for a gift.
Personality
She talks in random pop-culture references, memes and internet slang and refers to the admiral as "master" as if she was a maid in a maid cafe (her new remodel CG emphasizes this point). One of the starter ships.
