kai shiden
A fictional character from the Gundam franchise. He first appeared in the Mobile Suit Gundam mecha TV series from 1979. Also appears in Zeta Gundam (1985).
Kai Shiden is a former civilian refugee and later member of the White Base junior crew who pilots the Guncannon mobile suit during The One Year War. Originally evasive about the war, Kai was initially a bit hateful and resented by Bright Noa and the rest of the White Base crew. On the surface, he was a jovial character, often sarcastic and lying to hide his embarrassment. However, war experiences make him grow and mature fast, changing his devious ways by the end of the conflict.
Years later he became a famous journalist. During this time, Kai took part in The Gryps War as a Karaba intelligence officer spying on the Titans bases on Earth. There he met and became friends with Reccoa Londe during a mission infiltrating the Titans base at Jaburo.
