Edit
What is AIBooru's Moderation Queue?
AIBooru's Moderation Queue (collectively referred to as "Mod Queue") is a system in place to filter out images which do not meet AIBooru's Quality Standards.
Approvers are responsible for approving posts in the queue (help:users). You can view a list of them here.
How does the Mod Queue work?
The Moderation Process: "Three Days".
When an image is posted on AIBooru, it is placed on the Queue. Posts which are in the Queue are distinguished by their blue border when viewing the gallery in thumbnails.
The full Queue may be listed by using the search metatag status:pending. Approvers may use status:unmoderated outside of the modqueue interface to see the pending posts they haven't made a decision on.
All posted images have three days to be approved by an user with the adequate permission.
If the post has not been approved by any of said users after this time limit, it gets automatically deleted.
If the post has been accepted by any of the approvers, the image takes part of AIBooru's active posts.
However, an approved image on AIBooru may be returned to the Mod Queue at any time if flagged by a user for not fitting in. In this case, the image is placed back into the Mod Queue just as if it was a newly uploaded post, and the Mod Queue process starts anew.
The Moderation Process, in Short:
1. A new post is uploaded.
2. The new post is placed in the Mod Queue.
3. Approvers review the post.
4. If there are no approvals within 3 days, the post is deleted.
5. If an approver approves the post, the approved post is now active and remains on AIBooru indefinitely.
6. If the post is flagged by another user, go to Step 2.
Exceptions and Exemptions:
All contributors can post directly to AIBooru's active collection, bypassing the Mod Queue. This privilege is given to frequent uploaders with an excellent track record of uploading consistently high-quality art, to allow them to contribute to the collection without the constraints of the Mod Queue.
Help Us Keep Our Gallery Clean!
If you find a particularly low quality post that doesn't belong on AIBooru, you may flag the post to have it return to the Mod Queue for a second check.
Simply open the post in full view, and click on Flag on the left pane, third choice from the top under Options. You will be prompted to enter your reason for returning the post to the Queue. Click on OK, and the image's approval will be reconsidered.
What should I do about my deleted Posts?
Most of the time, it is safe to assume that every post in the Queue has been reviewed at least once.
If an upload isn't approved after three days, it is mostly because it doesn't meet our quality standards. It is comparatively rare for a high-quality post to end up getting deleted because the Queue missed it.
With the understanding that the manual and subjective process of the Mod Queue has its inherent flaws, post deletions may be appealed. For information on lodging a deletion appeal, please consult the article on appeals.
