In her own country, the variety of Coffea canephora is not widely grown, and is mostly used in the production of certain medicines and cooking ingredients; unlike alcoholic spirits, coffee, as a beverage, is not widely consumed and easily available. As such, Saori found herself barely able to resist cheap, easily available Coffea arabica beverages that were sold everywhere in the Kanto region, and even learned to brew it in her home. The massive increase in her caffeine intake had little effect on her energy, but did drastically alter her sleep cycle; she would mostly quit coffee after finishing secondary school.
