it's just bmaltais(that was last pulled back in.... may).
and it's just a 3 image dataset with 1 repeat being told to stop specifically at 512 steps, so that maths out. either it's including a partial epoch or it starts at 0 and is actually 171 epochs flat(171x3 is 513).
