also someone stop me if im being retarded because ive been up for 20 hours, but with how fucked the GPU market is im actually eyeing up some of these mac server boxes with gorillabytes of LPDDR and their hacky bandwidth chips that made them good for high res editing and shit without discrete vram, like i could run fucking deepseek 671b with 100's of Gb of headroom for under 20k as it stands and use less power than my craptop, i know they should in theory(tm) absolutely dumpster even the best ryzen iGPU by orders of magnitude when it comes to training, but even then not sure if they'd be fast enough to count as a viable middle ground between VRAM and CPU+Ram inference, have tried the latter on a 14900 and it really do be dogshit k yap over
