Tagging merged models

While going through some posts, I've seen posts that were made with merged models. For me, the natural way to tag these is to tag both of the models that were merged together. But this goes against the upload rules, which states that only one must be used. How should we go about tagging merged models?

Well, I assume there isn't any objection to tagging merged models with both models that were used in the merge.

If you do this there should be some tag to indicate it.

Would it be best to make that a meta tag? Would merged_model be okay?
