P-MODEL 核P-MODEL

Born out of the band Mandrake, and consistently headed by Hirasawa Susumu, P-MODEL is an influential Japanese electronic rock band, playing from 1979 to the year 2000. Aside from Hirasawa, the band's lineup would change and morph throughout the years, including others such as Akiyama Katsuhiko, Tanaka Yasumi, Tainaka Sadatoshi, Nakano Teruo, Kotobuki Hikaru and Konishi Kenji.

K-On! makes references to P-MODEL through the five main characters' surnames. Many K-On! fan works make references to P-MODEL, such as in Danbooru post #781159.

Several of P-MODEL's songs, such as Big Brother, Logic Air Force, and LAB=01, have become popular sources for otoMADs, whether it be strictly music-wise, or including their music videos, to Hirasawa's disapproval.

This tag also includes Kaku P-MODEL, which effectively serves as a solo revival of the band with only Hirasawa as its member.
