ル・マン ルマン グループC LMP LMDh LMH DPi Cカー
A type of racecar, designed to be the top class of sports car racing. LMP cars are typically designed solely to compete in races, unlike other sports car classes that are based off of road cars.
Currently, LMP2 and LMP3 spec prototypes are the only classes still used in the top level of racing. The LMP1 class has since been replaced by Le Mans Daytona h (LMDh) and Le Mans Hypercar (LMH) spec vehicles in both the IMSA SportsCar Championship and the World Endurance Championship. The former entry-level LMPC class was retired in 2017 amid growing costs to run.
While the term technically refers to the 4 LMP classes, for AIBooru purposes this tag represents all prototype-class race cars, including Group C, LMDh, LMH, Daytona Prototype (DP), and Daytona Prototype International (DPi).
