Kido Hyde (城戸灰都) is the lead and male protagonist of Under Night In-Birth. He is the wielder of “Indulgence of Insulation” The Insulator and a second year student at an unnamed high school. He attends the same high school as Orie, Seth and Carmine. Linne saved his life when he was attacked by a void. After being bit by the void he became an In-Birth, gaining supernatural powers and the ability to wield the Insulator. Linne entrusts him with the sword so that one day, when the time comes, he may take her life and finally end her cycle of reincarnation.
