The Nintendo GameCube is Nintendo's fourth home video game console released in 2001.
The successor to the Nintendo 64. As part of the sixth generation of gaming, the GameCube competed with the Sega Dreamcast (which ceased production before the GameCube launched), Sony's PlayStation 2, and Microsoft's Xbox.
It was succeeded by the Nintendo Wii.
