A superhero from DC Comics.
The titular main hero of the Batman franchise. His real name is Bruce Wayne, a wealthy man who witnessed his parents' murders and vowed to fight crime in Gotham City. He dons a black superhero uniform and bat-themed mask, and utilizes gadgets and martial arts rather than superpowers like traditional superheroes. Also known as the Dark Knight.
He was created by the late Bob Kane and the late Bill Finger and debuted in Detective Comics #27 (1939).
