The redheaded mermaid from the twenty-eighth animated Disney film The Little Mermaid.
Ariel is based on the protagonist of Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale "The Little Mermaid", but was reimagined with a distinct personality for the 1989 animated movie adaptation. Ariel is notable for her flowing red hair, a vibrant green tail, and a strapless lavender seashell bra.

Ariel is voiced by Jodi Benson in most of her appearances and is the 4th official Disney Princess.
