One of the eight Origin characters in Baldur's Gate 3 who can either be the player character or potential party member. An half-elf cleric of Shar, the goddess of darkness and loss. She was tasked to bring an artifact back to her cult, though she was stripped of her memories along with her true name. Despite her devotion to Shar, Shadowheart is surprisingly empathetic, being fond of children and having fewer qualms in providing assistance to others.
If pushed to go against Shar, Shadowheart will learn the truth of her origins: Shadowheart wasn't raised to be a Sharran acolyte, but was born to and raised by worshippers of Selune, the goddess of the moon. She and her parents were kidnapped by Shar's zealots, with Shadowheart's memories being taken so that she could be molded into Shar's perfect champion.
