Also called Decopunk, A genre of science fiction set typically between World War I or World War II and the start of the Cold War, with petroleum-based fuels starting to dominate transportation and industry. It tends to focus on a brutalist and often art deco aesthetic, and is seen as a continuation of the styles and themes explored in the steampunk genre.
