RL stereogram - rabbit balcony
This is a type of 3D picture known as a stereogram. There are 2 main types of horizontal stereograms: Left-Right (LR) and Right-Left (RL). The naming order indicates the eye that is intended to be used to see the images in order from left to right.
So, a LR Stereogram means that the left image is meant to be seen with your left eye, and the right image is meant to be seen with your right eye. This is accomplished by using a VR headset, or similar program which presents each half of the image to its respective eye.
A RL Stereogram can be viewed without a VR headset by crossing your eyes and allowing your vision to relax, as one would with a 'Magic Eye Puzzle.' In this way, your right eye is viewing the image on the left, and your left eye is viewing the image on the right.
The effect of a steregram is one that mimics how human eyes see and judge distance, by accounting for slight descrepencies in the two images that arrive in our brains, presented by our eyes.
The stretched colors at the side of the images are a result of the program used to create the stereogram from a normal image. Ideally I'll get better at managing those!
Make sure to check the Tag of the image to see whether this image is a LR or RL stereogram, and then view it accordingly.
----
As a Note, I'll be uploading both LR and RL Steregrams, but ideally more RL stereograms, as they don't require the use of a VR headset.
I hope you like it!
