A key point is that in an upright posture the back of the neck is probably not behind the waist. If you've never seen a side view of a skeleton, you should look it up (though more relevant for aspiring artists... lol this website). The neck doesn't stick up vertically from between the shoulders. Placing the head too far back lends to the impressive anime boobshelf trope you get in the previous image.
